Hole Seventeen

PAR 4, YARDS 439, STROKE 4
Chestnut

First of a very difficult two hole finish! This par 4 plays uphill with OOB down the left and plays mainly into the wind. A stream across the fairway at 260 yards is the first hazard to be avoided, then the two tiered, raised green with a large bunker left and smaller bunker right is  difficult find with your approach.

Ladies:
This is the third additional par 5 on the Ladies’ card. The water hazard is around 215 yards from the red tee and a good drive allows it to be cleared with the second shot.

Pro's Tip

“Like the 13th hole, a longer second shot is a better option. Avoid the stream by hitting your tee shot around 200-240 yards then, with your approach, be certain of the flag position. However, a shot right of the green is a good bail out and a par 4 is always a great score.”
