PGA Head ProfessionalI started playing golf at the tender age of 4 after being introduced to golf through my dad. At the age of 11, I joined Filton Golf Club as a junior member. My passion for golf only grew and with the help of the junior set up at the golf club, became the Clubs (at the time) youngest Open Champion at the age of 14. Between the age of 16-18, I won The Club Championship at Filton on two separate occasions. I then progressed into the county set up, representing Gloucestershire juniors and had the honour of being Captain, a role I thoroughly enjoyed. At 19 I turned Professional, starting my 3 year training programme with The Professional Golfers Association. I gained valuable experience during my training, working at Chippenham driving range, The Bristol Golf Club, and The Bristol Golf Centre where I worked for 10 years, before moving to Chipping Sodbury Golf Club as a teaching professional for two years. I have enjoyed a successful playing record as a Professional, with numerous Gloucester and Somerset titles, West Region Pro Am victories and the huge honour of being named Captain for the South West PGA in 2019. My passion now lies being back at my boyhood club as The Head Professional, taking huge pride in delivering the best experience for members and visitors whenever they visit Filton Golf Club. |
